BARRE, MA -- Barre restaurateur Ari Pugliese (center) re-

cently met with celebrity chefs Emeril Lagasse (r.) and Giada

De Laurentiis (l.) at Emeril’s cooking school and restaurant in

New Orleans, Louisiana.  Lagasse, who grew up in the south

east Massachusetts town of Fall River, and De Laurentiis have both parlayed their culinary talents into successful careers in the entertainment field, hosting popular shows on the Food Network.  Pugliese was invited to be a guest at a photo shoot for the August issue of Ladies Home Journal with renowned NYC-based photographer Troy Word. 

 

The Petersham native is the chef and owner of Picasso Restaurant and Bar, on the Common in Barre.  Serving an eclectic mix of modern & traditional cuisine with a mediterranean flair, Picasso is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with extended hours for the bar and patio on Fridays and Saturdays until 10:00 pm.  Call (978) 355-3099 for more info.
